  39. and   Poland  are  the   main  scenish
  40. countries, at  least according to  who
  41. votes,   but     England     and   The
  42. Netherlands   are   also    quite   ok
  43. represented,  when  thinking about the
  44. non-existing scenes they have in those
  45. countries.  Also,   I   find    it  of
  46. particular   interest   that   we  are
  47. beginning to see a boost of votes from
  48. Russia. Some issues ago, we had  none,
  49. and now.. Is  this a tendency? One can
  50. hope so, if Russia gets  a  blossoming
  51. Amiga scene, it would  really be cool!

  123. beers!  Congratulations IRIS!  No real
  124. surprise  in the  first placement this
  125. time,  as  I  do virtually everything,
  126. ranging  from  gentle  reminders,   to
  127. threatening  throwing  all  non-voting
  128. members out of IRIS, so it seems  like
  129. this  method  pays  off  in regards to
  130. collecting votes. I  could  just  wish
  131. other groups would deliver more votes,
  132. the best runner  up's deliver 4 votes,
  133. that is also  a little shabby,  seeing
  134. as  the  memberlists  of  many  groups
  135. number 10-15  members. We can also see
  136. that nobody   from e.g.  Loonies  have
  137. even bothered  to vote this time. I do
  138. not  think  it  is  because  they  are
  139. consciously  boycotting  us   at  all,
  140. rather  they  are  just    too   plain
  141. uncaring and  lazy to vote if I am not
  142. giving them a really hard time on IRC.
  143. Oh well, I think  this little piece of
  144. statistic might  be interesting,  so I
  145. will keep it as a recurring feature in
  146. the future.  Maybe  it  will give some
  147. groups a bad conscience, and point out
  148. to other sceners, who  deserve respect
  149. for supporting.
